Team Update

After completing an intensive assessment day, we are pleased to announce our interns for this summer in Reece Wootton and Declan Gamble.  Reece is currently studying Sports Science with Management at Loughborough University, and Declan is working towards a BA (Hons) in Economics, Finance and Banking at Nottingham Trent University.  Both will spend the first two weeks on rotational study, gaining exposure to all areas of the business before specialising in an area where we see best fit.  In total, they will join us for 10 weeks over the summer.

Since starting the programme in 2013, we have a 100% success rate in recruiting interns into our team at DB Wood. We have been extremely selective, even at intern stage, looking to attract individuals with the right personality and skill sets to prosper within our business. Each of them has gone on to start their career here (clearly they can’t get enough), which I believe is testament to our aim of bringing new talent to DB Wood, who can grow and improve our team over the longer term.  

Alex Chappell was our first graduate recruit after completing an internship in 2013, joining us as an Investment Analyst in 2014.  Alex continues to progress well and has recently completed his final exam in order to achieve his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.  Alex will now go on to start his (CFA) Chartered Financial Analyst qualification; an intensive three-year investment focused study-course.

Dominic Harrison completed his internship last summer, and will be joining our Technical Solutions and Investment teams from September. Initially, Dom will go on to complete his ACCA Accountancy qualifications, before starting his Financial Planning diploma. Dom can be seen in various pictures on our website (as he was following the photographer around all day to get in as many as possible) wearing a suspect blue, pink and white speckled tie.
